With his strong hands and arms, Eugene kept bees with great skill, passion, and wonder. Those same hands were always eager to strike a deal with a handshake, to wrap someone with a warm embrace, to play a few games of cribbage or euchre, to encourage an employee with a pat on the back, to raise a Spotted Cow beer with a “Prost!”, and to embellish stories about bees and beekeeping as he chatted with customers at the Dane County Farmers’ Market.
Eugene laid a strong foundation for Gentle Breeze Honey, Inc., and we are very proud to carry on that tradition!
